Researcher-practitioner exploring how strategic communication shapes behaviour in sustainability, education, and consumer culture.

Alice Yu Yuebo is a researcher, strategist, and educator exploring how communication drives behavioural change and long-term impact in consumer culture and sustainability education. Currently pursuing a PhD in Marketing at the University of Otago, her research examines how edutainment-based digital communication can shape more responsible fashion consumption behaviours.
Her professional background spans the technology, finance, consulting, and education sectors, where she has led strategic branding, thought leadership, large-scale events, and digital engagement campaigns for multinational organisations, startups, and nonprofits across the Asia-Pacific region. She is particularly passionate about bridging technical knowledge and real-world practice through creative storytelling, publicly accessible insights, and interactive learning experiences.
A Singapore Top 100 Women in Tech awardee and Women in Marketing Global Award winner, Alice’s perspectives have been featured in Adweek, Creativebrief, Caixin Media, WARC, and Jing Daily. She is currently developing a forthcoming book, Do Not Communicate, about how people can communicate more effectively across personal, professional, and societal contexts to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Alice is also the founder of Mama on Palette, Singapore’s first art community for mothers, established to support women’s mental health through creativity; and The Sustainable School, an applied educational initiative that translates sustainability values and concepts into hands-on STEAM programmes for children aged 5-12.
